The Farm
Our farm is transitioning from having a production focus to hosting educational opportunities. Track our progress here an on social media.
In 2015, I purchased my farm in Candler, where I’ve raised grass-fed beef, lamb, honey, and eggs for sale. These days I’m reconfiguring the farm to host educational events for adults as well as kids.
I’m experimenting with an amazing variety of berry crops from blackberries and mulberries, to honeyberry, juneberry, gogi and more.
In 2025 I sold our Gulf Coast Native Sheep flock and decided I would try my hand at raising Pygora Goats. These are part Angora and part Pygmy and are just about the softest, cutest things you’ve ever seen. Excited to welcome our first Pygora’s this summer.
I am also restarting our hives! This year’s queens look strong and we are hopeful for a great season.
On-farm workshops led by Gina Raicovich in Western North Carolina provide hands-on learning for homesteaders, landowners, farmers, and stewards. Workshops focus on land use, stewardship practices, rural decision making, and long-term land planning in the Appalachian region.
